Saturday night just got bigger. Elias Vance — last year's Songwriter Circle winner — will close the main stage with a ten-piece band: strings, horns and a gospel choir behind the songs Chicago has been shouting back at him for a decade.
A first Chicago headline set
Vance wrote his first record in a Logan Square basement; his latest was recorded in front of forty thousand people. This is his first headline set in his adopted hometown, and the band has promised the new album played front to back.
What to expect
Doors for the main-stage bowl open at 7 PM with the Ember Union brass band warming up the field. Vance takes the stage at 9:30 PM sharp, with the choir joining for the final four songs and — if the lakefront wind cooperates — a fireworks close.
Saturday tickets are moving fastest of the three days. Lock in a 1-Day Pass or go all-in with the Full Festival Pass.
